The SAFTA nominations were announced on Friday, 8 February 2019 and e.tv received a total of 19 nominations for seven of its productions.

Leading the nominations are Rhythm City and Broken Vows, with five nominations each, followed by SCANDAL! With three nominations.
The annual South African Film & Television Awards honour, celebrate and promote creativity, quality and excellence in the local television and film industry.
