A breath-taking first Semi Finals of SA’s Got Talent 2015

By Moeketsi Thatho

The first set of 2015 SA’s Got Talent Semi-finals has come and gone. Emotions and high drama dominated the show at the Soweto Theatre on Sunday 18 October with fan votes deciding who goes to the finals and who doesn’t.
It was a tightly-contested affair as all 7 acts put in an exhilarating performance in search of a final spot on the 8th of November.

Winners

After a series of mind-blowing acts, Cape Town dance group, ‘Street Stylers’ impressed the voters as they claimed the first spot of the finalists’ bench. The boys from the Mother City impressed the country with more than just their talents; their ambition to also open a community dance workshop touched the hearts of many South Africans. Although if it had been left up to one of the judges, Lalla, the boys would have had to go back and do more rehearsing before perhaps trying again next year.

The second spot had to be decided by the judges and therefore after a tie between the two lady-judges, DJ Fresh ensured that it was a young Henno Williams who put one past the fan favourite-Amanda to claim his seat on the finalists’ bench.

The second line-up

The line-up for the second set of semi-finals looks to be as powerful, if not more-so than the first one. SA’s Got Talent is exclusive to e.tv and e.tv HD every Sunday evening at 6PM. The live results show will air at 7:30PM on the same night. e.tv HD is available on OpenView HD on channel 104. Send your favourite acts to the final by voting.
