“By driving this campaign, we hope to motivate entrepreneurs to channel their biggest and boldest ideas and turn them into revenue-generating businesses,” says Belinda Marais, Marketing Manager at Acer.

To highlight the importance of supporting startups and small businesses, in the next few weeks, Acer invites YOU to pitch your best business idea on Instagram. Share your best business idea on Instagram Stories in 10 frames or less, and you could win! Remember to tag @AcerAfrica on every frame of your pitch. Aspiring entrepreneurs could win their share of R125 000’s worth of Acer equipment to make their business dreams become a reality, as well as business coaching with Martine Solomon, CEO at Mzansi Financial Education and Media (Pty) LTD.

As a pan-African Business Entrepreneur Mentor and Coach, Martine recognises how important people who start small businesses are. “South African entrepreneurs are extremely special because they are agile and resilient. There’s always a glimmer of hope, and they can bounce back from adversity a lot quicker,” she explains.

She adds that “the role played by technology in entrepreneurship is vital as it gives businesses the tools needed to survive in a time of global crisis. Technology is the future of South African business.”

Acer recognises how important small businesses are to the South African economy. Estimates show that small businesses employ 47% of our workforce and contribute 20% to our GDP, so supporting them is critical. And, in times of upheaval, tech companies can find a foothold in the market, providing bold solutions to new challenges and enabling the development of more start-ups on South African soil.

Although Acer is launching its InstaPitch campaign on social media, it does not have to stay there. Acer wants all South Africans to use the campaign as a guide for streamlining their elevator pitches to be more effective.

“We want to give entrepreneurs the tools they need to grow and survive in a turbulent economy. Whether it is by providing a platform to voice their ideas and opinions or providing the technology needed to run a digital business, we want to ensure their success,” adds Belinda Marais

Acer’s Swift and TravelMate ranges are the perfect business companions and have everything that an entrepreneur needs, whether you’re just starting your side hustle or you’re planning to implement Africa’s next big idea.

So, if you’re looking for the ultimate entrepreneurial starter kit to start-up your business, why not enter the #AcerInstaPitch competition? After all, the first step to starting a business is to put your bold idea out there!
