Acer South Africa has announced the relaunch of its Synergy partner rewards programme as the tech company revised the programme based on insights into how to provide even more support to resellers.
The original Synergy programme, while well received, worked on a quarterly reward-based system, which meant that if partners experienced a lower-than-average quarter, they could lose out on their reward opportunities.
Because Acer is so committed to the success of its channel partners, it has adjusted the programme to ensure that partners have more chances to take advantage of its associated benefits. The system will now be based on four rolling quarters with rebates paid out every quarter in arrears.
By making this change, resellers aren’t penalised when they have a slow quarter, and they get to realise rewards based on a whole year’s worth of hard work. It also means that they have the opportunity to move up to higher tiers throughout the year, which will result in more benefits and higher rebates.
What are the benefits?
The Synergy programme is made up of four tiers and the benefits you can access change depending on the tier you are in. Access to the tiers is based on how much Reseller Partners spend with Acer.
Partners start realising benefits as soon as they sign up, immediately gaining access to the Synergy portal, training and events, no matter how much they spend. As partners move up the tiers by aligning more opportunities with acer, they unlock more benefits, including financial rebates. The benefits of each tier range from access to exclusive discounts and specialist advice, to a dedicated regional account manager and even quarterly business reviews including acer stakeholders to discuss how to continuously empower the partner to maintain the success achieved.
Uptake of the Synergy programme
The existing platform has proven to be extremely popular with South African resellers. More than 3000 businesses are already benefitting from Acer’s rewards programme, and this number is set to increase with the changes.
Speaking about the relaunch of the programme, De Villiers Wolhuter, Commercial Head at Acer Africa, emphasised how important partnerships are to the company. “I’ve seen how this programme can be a game changer for some of our partners. Watching them grow through access to our training, marketing and business planning resources is always an incredible experience, and I’m excited that we’re able to help even more businesses access these benefits. The sustainability of our reseller network is of utmost importance in these turbulent times with so many businesses facing real economic concerns”
