Action drama series Z’bondiwe returns with more thrill in season 2!

After a great season of a mettlesome drama, Heist. Z’bondiwe returns for season 2 on Tuesday, 10 May 2016 at 9:35PM on e.tv.

Season 1 saw two notorious rival gangs – The Vutha Boys and The Mambas rule the township. Viewers witnessed the emotional dynamics of two lovers, Ntando (Anga Makubalo) and Roxanne (Zola Nombona) going through obstacles that thoroughly tested their commitment to each other. The Vutha Boys gang leader, Killer (Mbulelo Grootboom), was highly obsessed with Roxanne and did whatever it took to keep her by his side, including holding her hostage and marrying her. Ntando had to put his dreams of being a lawyer on hold and join the rival gang, the Mambas, in order to save his girlfriend from Killer. High drama, shoot outs and spilt blood took center stage as the two gangs went head to head.

Z’bondiwe season 2 will continue with the captivating storyline. The drama is shot in different locations such as Soweto, Nancefield and Linden. The season returns with more thrills and complexities. Secretes, betrayal and backstabbers will be exposed as everyone is not as loyal as they seem. Viewers can expect to see Ntando and Roxanne try their outmost best to rekindle their relationship.

Killer’s right hand man, Jakes (Israel Makoe) tries to change his misfortunes as he makes a confession about his past. Viewers will meet Killer’s traditional wife Nomonde (Tango Ncetezo), whom killer has kept a secret. Nomonde knows more than she should.

“The new season builds from season 1’s gripping finale. We introduce new characters and hidden secrets. Viewers will be left astonished as the storyline continues with more action in season 2” ,says Roberta Durrant, Creative Producer at Paw Paw Films.

Adding on to season 1’s stellar cast are some of Mzansi’s most talented actors. Tango Ncetezo will take on the role of Nomonde, Killer’s traditional wife. Awarding winning actress Charmaine Mtinta plays Thembi, Nomonde’s older sister. Thabang Matlala will take on the role of Andile, a street boy who is recruited by the Vutha Boys.
