South African performing artist and actor Nyaniso Dzedze has been reunited with his wife Yana Fay Dzedze after spending a week of detention at OR Tambo International Airport because she possesses a German passport.

As reported by ZAlebs, Germany is said to be a high risk COVID-19 country and South Africa has barred people travelling from high risk areas into the country. This is one of the prevention measures announced by the government to fight the spread of coronavirus.
The couple reunited at the OR Tambo International Airport detention center on Friday. Taking to Instagram to express his gratitude, Nyaniso Dzedze, wrote a lengthy post thanking everyone who helped and prayed with him during his wife’s detention.
The actor started off by saying: “MY GRATITUDE PROCEEDS EVERYTHING. To all who supported, prayed, sent love, sent energetic fields of light…Thank you. YANA IS HOME.”
“I cannot thank my incredible, never say die lawyer, brother and gladiator Mokgatle Mokgatle enough. What a king. Not to mention Nombikazi his fire wife, that was the wind beneath his wings.”
He also thanked God and every one of the figures of influence that opened up their hearts to the situation and heard their pleas.
“There was so much growth in this for all of us. We grew. We learned. One of the greatest things I learned… There is no length too far, there’s no place I won’t go for this love i hold for this human I call my Wife. Thank you ALL.”
Nyaniso Dzedze has also urged people to stay indoors and be safe during this time.
“Stay indoors, keep Quarantined and let’s all learn, love and grow from these God guided experiences.” – he wrote
