Actress Charlize Theron to star in Lockdown season 4

South African and American actress and film producer, Charlize Theron is set to star in Lockdown season 4. Season 4 of Lockdown is to premiere on the 8th April at 20:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161).

The award-winning actress started shooting for the Mzansi Magic hit drama Lockdown last month.

Speaking to DRUM last year, actor, musician and TV producer Mandla Ngcongwane said: “I am bringing Charlize Theron for season 4. She will start shooting in February next year. We’ve also released a soundtrack, we are doing amazing things.”

In the last season of the prison drama, he brought in American actress, comedian and singer, Tichina Rolanda Arnold to guest star in the show.

Charlize, who was born in Benoni, Johannesburg, Gauteng, will join a stellar cast of Zola Nombona, Pamela Nomvete and Thembi Nyandeni just to name a few.

Theron came to international prominence in the 1990s by playing the leading lady in the Hollywood films The Devil’s Advocate (1997), Mighty Joe Young (1998), and The Cider House Rules (1999).
