Actress Pearl Thusi has announced that she has collaborated with a global beauty brand, MAC Cosmetics on their latest beauty collection. Pearl Thusi is the first African woman to get this deal.

The MACxPEARL collection consists of two looks; the Power Kit and the Me Kit each with a variety of beauty products. The two new collections showcase the multi-faceted personality of Pearl, allowing people with different skin tone to have a nice daily look and a bold look in the evening.
Speaking at the private launch which was held at Sandton’s Alice & Fifth on Thursday 20 February 2020, Pearl Thusi described the collaboration with MAC Cosmetics as a first of its kind.
“Makeup is for everyone, male, female, transgender, whatever you’ve chosen to be in your life, makeup is for you. People are multi-faceted, and there wasn’t going to be just the ‘Me’ look. As a woman, I know that everyone out there wants to switch it up every now and again and own their power.”

Her best friend DJ Zinhle took to social media to congratulate Pearl on her major deal, “My gorgeous, hard-working friend. I am so inspired by you. This is amazing. Well done Sthe. Congratulations. I love you (sic),” – DJ Zinhle tweeted.
