Air France KLM Martinair Cargo resumed flights to Johannesburg with 100 tons of urgent goods

After the announcement from the Minister of the South African Department of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, to allow operating cargo flights in a context of lockdown, Air France KLM Martinair Cargo immediately decided to reinstate its scheduled cargo flights of Martinair Cargo to Johannesburg per 01 April 2020.

The first reinstated flight landed yesterday in Johannesburg with 100 tons of urgently needed goods and supplies, which have been on hold since the announcement of air services limitations in relation to the national lockdown. This will allow Air France KLM Martinair Cargo to supply all needed medical and pharmaceutical goods to South Africa’s medical care, hospitals and to all relevant services to combat the Covid19 pandemic.

The Air France KLM Martinair Cargo flight services to Johannesburg operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
