During the time of the accident, the 38-year-old singer was driving a Mercedes-Benz CLS 500 when a young woman crashed into him on the corner of Third and Fourth streets in Linden.

Speaking to DRUM, Thando said the traffic light was green for him and he was cruising when out of nowhere a car came speeding towards him and all he heard was a loud bang and he got hit on the face.

“I was on my way to the studio to finish off a few songs I had been working on” – he told DRUM

Telling DRUM how the accident happened, he said: “I honestly could have prevented it from happening, but really didn’t see it coming. The roads were quiet because it was the Easter holiday and the lady said her brakes failed.” Ntando Bangani says.

“The car is a complete write-off. All the airbags popped. I thought I was going to lose my life. I almost died. Luckily, I have a back-up car and a motorbike. And all these are material things that can be replaced.” – he added

The afro-pop singer, who recently released his new single, Nono which is doing well on radio, said he will most likely compose a song about the crash and his fans should look out for it.
