Its been three months since gospel singer Sfiso Ncwane passed away. His wife, Ayanda Ncwane spoke to Drum Magazine about being a widow and a single mom.
“I miss him a lot, I could literally smell him all around the house,” – Ayanda said in her first interview since she lost her husband.
She further added that,” Sfiso loved cologne, my clothes still smell like his cologne so I haven’t washed them”
Ayanda Ncwane says that there are days she feels like she’s operating on autopilot, “nothing excites me anymore.”
Sfiso and Ayanda met in 2002 and the couple were married for 9 years.
Speaking about her sons, she says that they are a source of her strength through dark days, “they take after their father, whenever I want to reach out and comfort them, I find myself being comforted by them.”
According to DRUM, Ayanda’s lawyer advised her not to speak about her mother in law in interviews. Her mother in law has previously accused Ayanda of knowing what killed her son and withholding the Post Mortem from her, a claim Ayanda vehemently denied.
Ayanda will be going back to work for the first time since her husbands death and we wish her all the best.
