The Wololo hitmaker Babes Wodumo revealed that she’s no longer engaged to her boyfriend Mampintsha as allegations of abuse emerged against him.

Speaking on Metro FM earlier on Friday afternoon, Wodumo (real name Bongekile Simelane) told Masechaba Ndlovu that they have broken off their engagement. “We were engaged but not anymore,” said Babes Wodumo.

She also clarified the engagement photos, saying that Mampintsha posted the photos on her Instagram account since he has her login details. Wodumo has since deleted the photo from her Instagram page.

Masechaba Ndlovu revealed that she was aware that Babes was being abused by Mampintsha. She had a friend who had taken Babes in when her long-term boyfriend allegedly punched her in the face and broke her leg.

“You don’t even know that I know that story… you don’t know that I know from someone else that he broke your leg. Babes we live in a country where women are getting killed… I’m happy you left that man,” – Masechaba said.
