South Africa’s Gqom’ queen Babes Wodumo along with hip-hop artists Sjava, Saudi and Yugen Blakrok have all been featured on the Black Panther superhero movie soundtrack.
Black Panther stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, with Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis and South African acting legends, John Kani and Connie Chiume.
The movie follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the
isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.
American hip-hop musician and recent Grammy award winner, Kendrick Lamar, tweeted an image of the movie’s album, which has a total of 14 tracks, with himself featuring in five.

Babes Wodumo is featured in Redemption, alongside R&B/Pop singer Zacari.
Sjava is featured alongside two other artists in the track titled Seasons, Saudi joins fellow hip-hop artists 2 Chains and Schoolboy Q in X and Yugen Blakrok is in Opps, with Vince Staples.
