Netflix is set to debut an exciting new South African comedy-drama on 31 October, following the high-stakes misadventures of a small-time hustler turned unlikely entrepreneur.
The series stars Jo-Anne Reyneke as BK, a clever con artist and devoted single mother struggling to make ends meet while caring for her son with special needs. Desperate to provide a better life, she teams up with Pinky—a wannabe luxury influencer played by Cindy Mahlangu—to launch a scheme selling fake designer handbags online.
What begins as a quick hustle soon spirals out of control when their operation catches the eye of Bra Alex (played by Vincent Mahlape), a feared figure in a powerful counterfeiting syndicate. As law enforcement closes in, BK and Pinky find themselves trapped between ruthless criminals and determined detectives. To survive, the mismatched duo must use all their wits to outsmart both sides—proving that sometimes, it takes a little con to stay true.
Developed by Lincoln Green Media and produced by Gambit Films, the series blends humor, heart, and suspense, exploring themes of survival, ambition, and motherhood in the digital age.
