Co-Written by Ntsika Fana Ngxanga, Maseti and Ave Biafra and featuring Ntsika, from the award winning, globally recognised A cappella group The Soil, ‘Ndifuna Wena’ is a story about being in love with someone and not allowing anything [or anyone] to get in the way of it.
“We explore how love is unpredictable, inexplicable and knows no boundaries – ‘kwenzeka kanjani ndikuthande ndingekakuboni?’ How do I fall for you, when I have not seen you? It’s a song about the highs and lows of love, realising that you love someone, yet not having the right words and ways to express it” shares Bonga Kwana.
The 23-year-old Cape Town-based singer-songwriter’s sound evokes both a nostalgia of South African music as well as a very relatable afro-pop sensibility with a defiant yet tender spirit evoking memories of Brenda Fassie, Busi Mhlogo, Zahara, Ami Faku, Simmy and Samthing Soweto.
