Award winning South African sports broadcaster and MC, Carol Tshabalala, has taken center stage in Rio at the 2016 Olympics.

Carol Tshabalala’s role at the Rio 2016 Olympics proves yet again that she truly is a global sports ambassador. It also provides another opportunity for viewers across the world to see just how versatile in sport Carol Tshabalala is.

“It’s special to be part of the team keeping Africa informed on everything that is happening with its athletes in Rio. This fourth Olympics experience has been memorable with South Africa performing the best it ever has since re admission to the Olympic family in Atlanta, 1996” shares Carol Tshabalala.

Carol Tshabalala has had the pleasure of talking about her Rio Olympic experience with celebrated Olympian Carl Lewis and actor Matthew McConaughey. From interviews along Copacabana beach, following the SA under 23 football team to Brasilia, watching Banyana Banyana’s campaign begin at the Olympic stadium, the D Tigers – Nigeria’s men’s basketball team’s gallant effort at the Carioca Arena in Barra, to interviewing our very own South African medalists, these are just a few of the highlights that Carol Tshabalala has experience in Rio thus far.

Always at the forefront of global sporting events, Carol Tshabalala reminds us why she is the undisputed First Lady of Sports.

Make sure to follow Carol Tshabalala on social media to view her Rio highlights in pictures and as she attends the women’s 800m final tomorrow where South Africa’s Caster Semenya is set to compete.
