Local is always lekker and this February Ster-Kinekor brings you 3 exciting South African movies on their vast big screen with enchanting surround sound. Top of the list is a film that stars some of favourite local actors such Thando Thabethe, Thuso Mbedu and Vusi Kunene, ‘Jumbo goes to Jozi’.

This comedy tells a tale of an American guy in search of Love, married to an African girl. The drama he experienced from the entire adventure explored his naivety to love, marriage, culture and religion. Which makes him A Jumbo in jozy (JJC) in his adventure to keeping his marriage.

The pursuit of a writing career leads Daniel into trouble in the drama packed film ‘Liewe Lisa’. He finds himself trapped in an illicit affair with the wife of a powerful businessman. Things take another dramatic turn when he falls in love with the same businessman’s daughter. After his mistakes are revealed and he abandons the life set out for him.

Janno, a different, secretive, emotionally frail young man in a conservative farming territory obsessed with strength and masculinity is introduced to Pieter by his mother. A hardened street orphan, she wants to save and asks Janno to make this stranger into his brother. The two boys start a fight for power, heritage and parental love.
