According to Channel24, The Comics’ Choice Awards has found itself a new home.
The event returns for its seventh year with the Gold Reef City Lyric Theatre as the venue.
“We are beyond thrilled and proud to have been chosen as the hosts of the prestigious, one-of-its-kind Comics’ Choice Awards,” Gold Reef City’s Marketing Manager Gareth Kaschula says,
Speaking to Channel24, he added that “Not only are we 100% behind the comic relief that our home-grown funny people bring to South Africans, but nothing gives us greater pride than supporting local talent – and the latter is evidently present in abundance amongst the nominees.”
As reported by Channel24, this year’s theme is “The Freedom Of Funny”, this years Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards will take place on Saturday, 9 September.
