Comedian Tol Ass Mo is retiring from stand-up comedy

South African comedian and television personality, Tol Ass Mo real name Mongezi Mahlangu is retiring from stand-up comedy after being in the game for 15 years.

Mongezi Mahlangu who is also best known for his appearances on numerous television series, including Mo Love on Vuzu, in which he starred with his wife Mome Nale, announced his retirement on Instagram. In a lengthy Instagram post, Tol A$$ Mo thanked his wife Mome for making him the man he is. He also told his fans that it is time to move on to better things.

“I want to say thank you to my wife @mrs__mome for making me the man I am today for making me a father too. Thank you to all my brother’s in comedy, thank you to all my fans and all those who supported me along this journey.

It’s been a good 15 years of stand up with an Emmy nomination for best international comedy. Now it’s time for me to move on to other things in life this is not a media opportunity I don’t want to explain myself my comedy production company is available to book other comedians for your events managed by @mrs__mome all I can say is the God I serve is an amazing. Thank you once more (sic),” – Tol Ass Mo wrote on Instagram

“Enjoy the industry. Take it, you can have it all. Peace,” he wrote in another post.

Mo’s last show will be on the 28th of July 2019 at the Sun Arena, Pretoria.
