D’Banj’s recent happy birthday message to Adama Indimi has confused a few people.
Although it could have been a simple message, fans went wild when the Nigerian superstar ended it off by professing his love for her.
What is the problem here? Well, back in July, the Kokomaster and our very own Bonang Matheba walked the MTV Africa Music Awards red carpet together. They also got tongues wagging after they kissed when the singer, who is celebrating a decade in music, won an award.
This obviously fueled dating rumours, with some wondering if the kiss was a confirmation of their love?
There is a twist, though! On Wednesday, the Oliver Twist hitmaker took to Instagram to share a picture of Adama and a beautiful birthday message. According to Nigerian gossip sites, the two have been dating on and off for a while.
Adama is the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Alhaji Mohammed Indimi.
This was followed by a string of comments on the singer’s page. Some fans feel that D’Banj is disrespecting Bonang, while others are wondering if Bonang is still in the picture at all.
One fan’s comment read: “Wow this is sad.. But respect @bonang_m for keeping her calm.”
Another added: “You guys need to chill. The persons involved are quiet and you’re here crying more than the bereaved.”
Following all this, Bonang’s ex, DJ Euphonik, took to Twitter to leave two pictures. His fans responded!
Or maybe he’s on about something completely unrelated? Yho! What a mess.
