Actor Dumi Masilela was shot in Tembisa on Wednesday night in a suspected hijacking.
As friends and family of actor Dumi Masilela mourn his death, it’s been confirmed that his aunt has died upon hearing the news.
Masilela was best known for his role as Sifiso Ngema on eTV’s soapie Rhythm City.
He was shot in Tembisa on Wednesday night in a suspected hijacking.
He died in hospital on Thursday morning at age 29.
Rhythm City publicist Mpumi Philips says that the family is distraught.
“The family doesn’t really want to talk much about that other than to say that upon hearing the news of Dumi’s passing, she, unfortunately, passed away. We don’t know the cause of the death at this point.”
