Dudu ‘Lady D’ Khoza to be inducted into #LibertyRadioAwards Hall of Fame

Award wining radio presenter Dudu Khoza, best known as Lady D, will be inducted into Liberty Radio Awards Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame recognises people who have been in the industry for over 15 years, who are either still in the business, or who have retired.

Dudu has been a Living Legend on Ukhozi FM for more than 15 years and an inspiration to thousands of people around the country, particularly women, not just with her motivational and charismatic radio persona but also with the number of initiatives that she is currently involved in which are aimed at empowering the youth, women as well as disadvantaged communities.

Lady D Khoza has spent all 25 years of her career in radio on air at Radio Bantu, which became Radio Zulu and is now known as Ukhozi FM. She was even a part of the team that came up with the station’s current name.

In 2012, Khoza won the Best Daytime Presenter award at a commercial radio station.

Talking about the induction, the radio host said she’s humbled and added “I must say, without being pompous, that I expected this kind of evaluation about me because I work so hard for it. At the same time, I am thankful to whoever contributed to that respectful status.”

Other inductees for this year include Dave Tiltmann, Haider Ali Dhorat, Kevin Savage, Lloyd Madurai, Mel Gahler, Phumzile Mnci, Thuso Motaung, Wilson B Nkosi and Zweli Nokhatywa.

The Liberty Radio Awards takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday 14th April 2018.
