Fake Siphiwe Tshabalala profile requests money and airtime from fans on Facebook

South African professional football midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala is one of the most popular soccer players in the country.

He played at the 2010 FIFA World Cup at which he scored the first goal on the 11th June 2010 which was nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award.

Tshabalala is the latest South African celebrity to fall prey to fraudsters on social media. Last week, Prince Kaybee also expressed concern over fraudsters who have been using his name to meet up with unsuspecting fans.

The soccer star took to Instagram to share a screeenshot of a fake Facebook account that has been created using his names. The fake account has been asking for money and airtime from fans through direct message.
