Flex Rabanyan allegedly arrested for a car he won

Winner of Vuzu’s Hip-Hop reality show, The Hustle, Flex Rabanyan has alleged that Opel South Africa gave him a vehicle that was registered in someone else’s name. The rapper claims that he has been arrested twice because of the mix up.

Flex Rabanyan won the car as part of his prize package when he won The Hustle eight months ago.

The frustrated rapper took to Twitter and accused Opel of being shady and deliberately giving him a vehicle not registered in his name.

“I’m being ARRESTED for the SECOND time because of @OpelSA ! The incompetence of your staff is costing me time and money. And the trauma of a f***ing police VAN! #UnlockTheCar wasn’t enough. You guys are making me go through the f***ing most,” the rapper began the rant.

According to Flex, the car has now been impounded because it is still not in his name.

He also claimed that the car brand told him that it is the responsibility of General Motors to have the car registered in his name, but General Motors is allegedly pointing the finger at Opel SA.

The rapper also claimed that he gets stopped because of his skin colour.

“Don’t even get me started on the numerous times I came there and you guys sent me back with a “Sorry”. Now I keep getting stopped coz I’m black and cops assume I stole the vehicle. The f**k Henry? Why is it in some Mr Rodgers’ name? @OpelSA ,” he said.

Flex also took the chance to drag the organizers of the competition, Vuzu and Multichoice for “leaving him out to dry”.

“Vuzu and MultiChoice in general have left me out to dry all coz I won’t sign a f****ing deal with a dying record label ! So why do you keep saying I must get them to register the car @OpelSA? I can’t even enjoy owning a whip coz I’m outchea dodging jail like a criminal,” he said.

The record label he refers to is Vth Season which gives winners of the competition a record deal.

He further claimed that this was some sort of conspiracy to frustrate because, according to him, Vuzu and its affiliated channels don’t play music that he is featured on.

“I noticed they don’t even play Ma-E’s song on Channel O just coz it features me. I’m cool with that. We’ll discuss that later. But @vuzutv the least you could’ve done is get my whip registered instead of what y’all did,” he said.

“AS A HOST OF THE SHOW WHO ALSO HAS A LOT VESTED IN HIP HOP AND THE WELL-BEING OF OUR TALENT,I MUST SAY.I APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITIES @vuzutv HAS GIVEN ME.HOWEVER WHAT IS HAPPENING TO @FlexRabanyan IS NOT RIGHT.RECALL YOURSELVES TO PROPER ACTION @Opel”

The car also allegedly had over 5000 kilometers on it already when it was given to Flex.

Vuzu, Multichoice, Opel South Africa, General Motors and Call Back Dreams, the production company behind the show, are yet to respond to the allegations.
