Former Jam Alley presenter and actress Vinolia Mashego, popularly known as V-Mash, has passed away at her Mamelodi home in Pretoria.

Her sister Prelley Seale confirmed her passing. Vinolia Mashego was 56 years old when she died. According to V Mash’s father Collins Mashego, the bubbly Vinolia Mashego died in her sleep at her house in Mamelodi.
“It’s true. We got the news this morning. We are still shocked and we don’t know what happened to her,” – Prelley told Sowetan Live.
Zola Hlashatshi, a friend of the deceased also took to Instagram to announce the death of Vinolia Mashego.
“It is with great sadness and tears in my eyes and a broken heart to announce the passing of Vinolia Mashego aka V-Mash she passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday 03rd of April 2020. She was well known as the enegertic Jam Alley Presenter and recently made a come back as the presenter on @mojalovetv’s Bheka Sikubambile #RIPVinoliaMashego Funeral will be this Friday 10th April 2020. Limited to Family. Please respect the family, friends and us to mourn peacefully (sic).” – he wrote
“We are deeply saddened to learn about the passing of a pioneer of South African Television, Vinolia Mashego popularly known as V-Mash, who became a leader of popular culture in the 90’s and will forever be remembered for breathing life into the soul of our nation (sic),” – the Department of Arts and Culture of South Africa also shared their tribute on Twitter
