Samsung is likely to bring us a foldable smartphone from the South Korean company this year with the Galaxy Fold. So much has been known for some time, even if no clear date of presentation has been thrown into the room. So far, the chances for spring 2019 are good. Even the latest rumor affirms that. Samsung has today released a teaser for its foldable smartphone in the form of a short video. Under the motto “The future unfolds” one clearly shows pictures that point to the upcoming Galaxy Fold. And soon we should see more.
The interesting thing is: The teaser hints at the Samsung Galaxy S10 event, which takes place next week on February 20th. Thus, the South Korean company will not only present new flagship smartphones of the Galaxy S10 series, but also present details of the Galaxy Fold. However, it remains uncertain whether we will even get to see a final version of the foldable Samsung smartphone or whether there will be – similar to the SDC 2018 – more details on the technology.
Nevertheless, a final release of the Galaxy Fold – along with the new Samsung flagship series – seems unlikely next week. This would make both your own new smartphones competition as well as divert media attention from the Galaxy S10 series.
