Leanne Manas concludes delivery of 20 000 school shoes to children in need

It’s been a very busy past few weeks for the likes of Connie Ferguson, Zenande Mfenyane, Dineo Ranaka, Lalla Hirayama, Letshego Zulu, Thembi Seete, Ayanda Thabethe, Leanne Manas, Brent “Good Things Guy” Lindeque, Shona Ferguson and Heather Hook – who are all part of the #KrushGoodness Krew.

They’ve been heading around the country delivering school shoes to children in need as part of the #KrushGoodness project. The project has officially come to an end with Leanne Manas and Brent “Good Things Guy” Lindeque having visited the final school in the Western Cape – concluding the delivery of the 20 000 school shoes for 2019.

What drew you to participate in the #KrushGoodness project?

I have an absolute passion for Education and anything that will assist the youth of this country rise up and become our future leaders! 

What were you most looking forward to about visiting 
Siyabulela Primary School?

It’s one thing supporting a charity or school from a distance; it’s a completely different story visiting the people you are helping, getting to know them, understanding their circumstances, feeling their pain and joy and then offering them love and a helping hand where you can.

What, for you, is the biggest importance of helping our communities and children in particular?

Local actress and television personality Nomzamo Mbatha, was named as the winner of the “Beauty Award” category at the International Woman of Power Awards.

According to several reports, Nomzamo Mbatha will be honored as the Goddess Beauty Award at the International Women of Power Awards in Los Angeles next month.

The Isibaya actress will share the stage with Sierra Leone’s first lady, Fatima Maada-Bio. is the current First Lady of Sierra Leone as the wife of Julius Maada Bio, 5th President of Sierra Leone. She is also an award-winning actress, screenwriter and film producer in United Kingdom based African movies.

“It’s always a positive validation to be celebrated for your contribution to the entertainment industry. I see it as a moment to implore others to do their part in making the world a better place; I’m so humbled,” Nomzamo said.

The awards are aimed at celebrating women of the African diaspora who continue to spread positivity in people’s lives.
