Who is Nelisiwe Masango Forex Trader? Many South Africans know Nelisiwe Masango as one of the most successful female foreign exchange traders in South Africa. Nelisiwe Masango Forex Trader is a 29-year-old award-winning entrepreneur and wealth coach. Nelisiwe is also the Founder and Director of Bear Run Investments a Forex trading company.
Speaking on Kaya Bizz with Gugulethu Mfuphi in 2019, Nelisiwe spoke about the root of her passion for financial markets and the importance of educating people about their finances.
She looked into her community and realized that many people don’t have a good understanding in terms of their finances, people don’t budget, people don’t check up on their investments.
That’s when Nelisiwe developed a love for finances and investments.
As a schoolgirl Nelisiwe wanted to become a neurosurgeon, but developed a love for finances and investments, starting her business with no capital which taught her the value of networking and money management. Soon Nelisiwe Masango Forex Trader started learning how to trade and became successful at it. Today, she is one of the top South African forex traders.
“Entrepreneurship is not just about the fancy cars, working on your own time, but we like that. At the end of the day, it takes a lot of sacrifices. It’s also because of the nature of the business.” – the 29-year-old told Gugulethu Mfuphi in an interview.
Nelisiwe Masango established two business enterprises, “Female and Finances” that aims to promote financial awareness and security amongst the women in South Africa, and “Gentle Hands Agency” which is a recruitment agency to help the people who are suffering from the lack of the job opportunities.
In 2017 Nelisiwe Masango received an award the Frost & Sullivan African Growth Innovation & Leadership Award alongside founder and CEO of Discovery, Adrian Gore.
When they started, many people might see this as a disadvantage, this was when you are young, black and a female entrepreneur. But Nelisiwe Masango Forex Trader saw this as an opportunity.
“At the end of the day, many companies need to align with BEE Level 1 companies such as ours. Irrespective of experience, sometimes you need to align yourself with people who are better than you, people who are bigger so you can learn from them.” – Nelisiwe Masango said.
