Since the show premiered on 16 October, more than 70 contestants from across South Africa’s geographical, cultural and age spectrum have tried their luck at finding love by making their way to the First Dates restaurant in the hopes of igniting a spark and securing that all important second date.
Next Wednesday, 4th December at 8PM on BBC Lifestyle, we find out if chivalry is dead during episode 8 of First Dates South Africa. In the First Dates restaurant, 23-year old student Robert serenades his date Talya, with his bagpipe playing skills.
For Cape Town radio DJ and theatre director Michaela, it’s time to practice what she writes! Her latest play ‘Dating, mating and relating for dummies’ is put to the test with accountant Richard.
Nigel is ready to get his groove back, and baker Joedy is looking to place a cherry on his cake. Lucky Nigel! Sybil and Allen high-five their way through their date, whilst Roberto and Zelia appreciate their shared Portuguese heritage.
