Nina Hastie tackles the land debate and has the whole country talking

Multi-talented comedic personality, Nina Hastie, tackled the highly topical land conversation this week in her W24 #TuesdayTruths column which is now the most read story on the home page of News 24 this week.

Broaching the topic from the perspective of a white woman being advantaged and privileged, Nina Hastie’s column, published on the eve of Human Rights Day, has had everyone from CEOs to students of all races join in on the somewhat controversial and sensitive conversation about land expropriation.

This column is a must read. If you haven’t read it yet read here:

“I’ve been so afraid of talking about this subject, particularly on an online platform, because we live in an age where if you say something uninformed and politically incorrect – you stand the chance of not only costing yourself your professional credibility, but you can take an entire company down with you,” – Nina said.

Often using comedy to confront political issues and topics of entitlement, Nina Hastie is headlining Comedy On The Barge at the annual Mieliepop Festival in Ermelo, Mpumalanga today, Saturday, 24 March 2018. Those attending can expect to experience Nina Hastie in her element.

Following her successful, sold out, Nina Hastie Live comedy show that took place at the Goliath Comedy Club, Nina Hastie wants the country to know that 2018 is her big comedy year. Expect to see her headline more shows as she gears up for her highly anticipated One Woman Show.

Over the years, Nina Hastie has evolved and perfected her craft as a comedic personality where her sets resonate in the hearts of broader and more versatile audiences.
