OPW is a South African reality television show which documents the preparations of couples as they try to pull off their perfect wedding as they tie the knot.
The show, which airs on Mzansi Magic DStv Channel 161 every Sunday at 19:00, is produced by Connect TV and hosted by a new female presenter each season. Executive producers of the show are Cecil Berry, Vuyelwa Booi, Clifford Elk and Basetsana Khumalo. The director and scriptwriter is Tendayi Nyeke, who is also a producer with Mumtaaz Mahomed-Peerbhay.
Previous presenters include Jessica Nkosi, Tumi Morake, Brenda, Ngxoli, NkwaNkwa, Ayanda Mpama, Phumeza Mdabe, Anele Mdoda, Nomsa Buthelezi and Kayise Ngqula who won Our Perfect Wedding Presenter Search in 2017.
In every episode, the engaged couples introduce themselves and let the whole country know how they met. They then tell their viewers about their wish list so that they can declare at the end of the show if they really had the perfect wedding or not. They also get to rate the services out of 10.
The couple has three days to prepare. The fourth day is the wedding.
