Matwetwe (Wizard) is a coming of age adventure following Lefa and Papi, best friends and recent high school graduates, on the hustle of their young lives. Over the course of one action packed New Years Eve in the iconic township of Atteridgeville, the boys try to score a huge deal, dodge a king pin gangster and his violent minions, get the girl and ultimately save their lives in this hilarious and sometimes very serious escapade.” – Imdb

The movie is co-produced by DJ Black Coffee and directed by South African comedian Kagiso Lediga.

In light of the sudden death of Matwetwe lead actor Sibusiso Khwinana, South Africans have called out to one another to keep his legacy alive by watching him do what he loved and rapper Cassper Nyovest responded by sponsoring 200 school kids from his hood to watch Matwetwe.

Sbusiso was allegedly stabbed over a cellphone by thugs with a sharp object on the upper body. He was certified dead on the scene in Arcadia, Pretoria.

“Booked out a whole Cinema on Friday for the Kids in my hood to watch Matwetwe. Little good deeds go a long way and the smiles on their faces mean the world to me. Shout out to my Dad for helping me organize this. Bridge ent for putting it together (sic),” – Abuti Fill captioned his Instagram video.
