Where necessary, update your contact information by visiting https://srd.dsd.gov.za/sc19/contact.

If you want to update your cellphone number and/or email address that is used for communication and web application access related to your COVID-19 SRD R350 grant, they firstly need to verify that you are the original applicant. You need to submit your 13 digit South African identity number and the 6 digit Application ID (AppID) that SASSA issued to you on R30 grant application or reapplication.

How To Submit R350 Grant Appeal

Here’s How To Submit A New R350 Grant Appeal:

  1. Visit srd.dsd.gov.za
  2. Click on the green bar which says ‘click here to lodge an appeal or check appeal status
  3. Enter your South African ID number
  4. Enter your phone number used to submit your application
  5. Click ‘send pin’
  6. Click ‘Submit’ and look out for the confirmation message on the page that your application was submitted successfully.

According to srd.dsd.gov.za, you may, within a period of 30 days but not exceeding 90 days, appeal SASSA’s decision to the Independent Tribunal for Social Assistance Appeals (ITSAA). Please note, an SRD appeal application needs to be lodged in relation to each month where a person is rejected by SASSA, if in disagreement with the decision.
