Sassa R350 grant payment dates for next week, 21 – 25 February 2022 have been confirmed by the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa). The President declared a National State of Disaster as a result of the Covid-19 global pandemic. In this regard he introduced a special Covid 19 Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD) of R350 per month.
The SRD grant was introduced to assist unemployed individuals during the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. The SRD R350 grant is aimed at people between the ages of 18 and 59-years-old.

The last three digits of the beneficiaries’ identity numbers indicate the day on which they can visit their nearest Post Office to collect their R350 SRD grant, provided they have received an SMS informing them that the grant has been paid in.
“Clients are reminded that there is no fixed payment date for this special grant. Payment is made each month, provided the client qualifies for that month.” – Acting SASSA CEO, Dianne Dunkerley, said
Here are the R350 grant payment dates for next week:
- Monday, 21 February 2022: ID Numbers ending in 082 & 087
- Tuesday, 22 February 2022: ID Numbers ending in 083 & 088
- Wednesday, 23 February 2022: ID Numbers ending in 084 & 089
- Thursday, 24 February 2022: ID Numbers ending in 080 & 085
- Friday, 25 February 2022: ID Numbers ending in 081 & 086
SASSA said applicants who have chosen the Post Office as their preferred payment method are urged to please await an SMS notification of payment from SASSA before reporting to collect their grants at their nearest Post Office.
Meanwhile, clients who receive their grant through their personal bank account may withdraw anytime at ATMs, participating merchants or simply swipe for goods.
Applicants are reminded that they have the right to lodge an appeal for reconsideration within 30 days of receiving the outcome of their SASSA SRD R350 application.
SASSA R350 Grant Appeals can be lodged on https://srd.sassa.gov.za under the tab: “application for reconsideration” and must be lodged for each month that the application is declined.
