SASSA Status Check Pending

SASSA Status Check Pending means that your application has not yet been approved.

“Pending means your application has not yet been approved, your details still need to be screened and verified first. Once approved, you will receive an SMS from SASSA requesting your banking details, then you will be paid.” Sassa said in a Tweet

Sassa Status Check pending comes after many applicants for the SASSA R350 grant came across this message while checking their Sassa R350 grant application status. Pending means your application has not yet been approved, your details still need to be screened and verified first. Once approved, you will receive an SMS from SASSA requesting your banking details, then you will be paid.

As part of the SRD R350 grant process, the SASSA has to validate each beneficiary’s payment monthly to ensure payment is made to applicants who meet the criteria. This verification process does cause a delay in the payment process as we have to verify 10 million applicants monthly.

Please note that there’s no fixed payment date for the R350 Sassa grant. Once you are approved, you will be paid every month as long as you still meet the qualification criteria. Every month, your application will be verified to make sure that you still qualify for that particular month.

The turnaround time of payment after the application has been approved is up to 7 days. To check if you have been approved, you can check your Sassa status here https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/status.

If your application was declined for any period and you had zero income in the preceding month, you may submit an application for reconsideration by visiting  https://srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/reconsideration.
