Scorpion Kings & Tresor unveil mural for “Rumble In The Jungle” in celebration of Africa Month

Pioneering Amapiano duo Scorpion Kings, Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, together with Afro-pop maverick Tresor, unveil mural for “Rumble In The Jungle” in celebration of Africa Month.

A befitting way to mark the month, as street art and murals have long been a go to medium to express and give meaning to African heritage and Pop culture. Painted by Dbongz, the spectacular and eye-catching mural is set in the heart of Johannesburg in Maboneng, giving a breath-taking backdrop to the inner city.

Scorpion Kings & Tresor’s mural unveiling comes off the back of their joined album release, “Rumble In The Jungle” released through Platoon. Their album is the perfect celebration of African music in all its glory.

“This particular album is special for me because it represents a bold statement of pride in the diversity of our culture as Africans, embracing the rich musical landscape of our home. We went back to the source and tapped into sounds from all over the continent for this album,” shares Tresor.

“This album is a gift to Africa. We are bringing the Amapiano sound to the continent. We loved working on it and are excited for Africa and the world to hear it,” adds DJ Maphorisa.
