South African rapper and poet Maya Wegerif (born 9 May 1992), who is popularly known by her stage name Sho Madjozi is set to perform at the Afropunk Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
The event, which will take place later this year on the 25th August 2018, celebrates and unifies the cultural cornerstones of AFROPUNK through music, film, skate, and art.
Sho Madjozi has always managed to move the crowds wherever she performed. Maya is also known for her colourful Xitsonga attire, making the culture trends through her music.
Her unique hairstyles have been adopted by lots of women both locally and internationally. Her style is vibrant and fun and she is noticeable.
