Simphiwe Ngema: It’s the simple things that matter

It’s been three months since actress Simphiwe Ngema lost her husband Dumi Masilela. The actress took to Instagram to reflect how she feels.

“It’s been 3months since I lost my husband. 3months of sleepless nights, trauma, anxiety attacks, crying uncontrollably, anger, excruciating pain, loneliness, denial, bargaining and a lot of unanswered questions that leave me paralysed with fear. Some days feel like I haven’t moved or feel like it’s not getting better.”

Simz Ngema added all she can do is trust God.

“I’ve just learnt to take it one breath at a time. I don’t know what tomorrow holds, I still don’t know what God’s plan is and the thought of a future without “our future” still makes me anxious, all I can do is trust God. He is all I know. I am holding onto him with broken hands but still holding on nonetheless. I miss you terribly! My boongy @dmasilela 💔😭 #eternalcrush”

Simz Ngema captioned a photo on Instagram “It’s the simple things that matter. This pic still puts a smile on my face. You just popped out of nowhere and made me laugh.”

In another photo, Simphiwe wrote “Happiness is something you have to be vigilant of, especially when in grief, You cry everyday and depression knocks at your door every second of the day.”

“Count your joyous moments. They may not last long because they are quickly followed by guilt but count them anyway because that moment could be your last.” – she added.
