The pair have far exceeded their own expectations for this foot tapping, head-nodding anthem that is set to release on March 1, 2019, suited perfectly for the airwaves to end of the Summer season. The song will be available to stream on Apple Music and Spotify and to purchase on major music platforms like iTunes and Google Play.

“This song started out with me trying to write something different to every other song I’ve written. I’m so used to writing songs about love… I’m really stoked with how it turned out because even though its got a sad feeling, it’s really uplifting at the same time,” said Matt.

Far Away was originally written with sad sentiments of Matt’s friend having lost a loved one, until Bryn had brought his own perspective which resulted in this genius masterpiece.

Matthew adds: “Bryn isn’t just a kiff guy, he’s also one of the most talented people I’ve met. He takes one small idea and makes it something insane. Working with him has been flipping awesome.”

Matt is a young musician already deeply embedded in the local music scene. Influenced by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Jon Bellion, Mumford & Sons, Jeremy Loops, Post Malone and The Chainsmokers, he transforms his acoustically written tracks into a uniquely different pop sound with electronic elements that will make you want to move.

It has always been a dream of his to turn his passion for music into his career. He began playing guitar towards the end of his junior school years after watching his father strum beautiful melodies, and was eager to learn. He began his music career by partaking in musical productions at his school, Maritzburg College, and now having shared the stage with local musicians such as Matthew Mole, Prime Circle, Desmond & the Tutus, Just Jinjer, Majozi and Shortstraw, Matt aims to do the same and more this coming year.
