Tributes continue to pour in following the death of Limpopo- born seasoned playwright, veteran actor and retired radio broadcaster Mahuma Paul Rapetsoa. Skeem Saam actor Paul Rapetsoa died in hospital in Polokwane on Tuesday. He was 70 years old.

Paul was well-known for his work in theatre and radio dramas on the SABC’s Thobela FM where he once headed the drama department.
His death was confirmed by his son, Matome, on Tuesday evening.
“It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our father, brother and colleague Mr Mahuma Paul Rapetsoa. “Bra Paul” passed away today at 18:56. May your wonderful soul rest in peace Mokwena,” he wrote in a short statement on Facebook.
Rapetsoa played the role of Josias in the popular SABC1 series Skeem Saam and mentored the late Charles “Big Boy” Maja.
Some of Rapetsoa’s popular works include the stage play “Get Down” and “My Pride”.
In a statement, Skeem Saam said Rapetsoa would “forever be remembered and sorely missed”.

The Paul Rapetsoa Institution of Dramatic Arts (PRIDA) in Polokwane has confirmed the passing of Mr Paul Mahuma Rapetsoa well known as “Malome Josias” on popular South African soap opera Skeem Saam.
