Multi talented, Mpumalanga born Kwaito sensation Skroofman continues to gain traction with his latest single Khanyi Mbau.
The Mpumalanga-conceived DJ says that the gqom track has profound kwaito roots and furthermore hip-jump impacts including: “I’m adding an alternate component to the convention classification we know.”
Following the success of his previous single title Bheja the Kwaito star has everybody talking with his new single titled Khanyi Mbau. The single is playlisted on key commercial and urban radio stations through out the country.
Skroofman attributes his passion for music to his ekasi background where experimental music is dabbled by many but pursued by few as the financial hustle attached to breaking into the music industry makes it tough to get a break.
Khanyi Mbau offered authorization to Skroofman to utilize her name in the track and wanted him to enjoy all that life has to offer with his task. The Pienaar born artist was in inspired by Khanyi Mbau’s love of finer things in life and her determination to make things happen for herself.
Skroofman is creating a different element to what tradition knows and understands about the Kwaito genre and is challenging the traditional format and incorporating acoustic and electro beats, this allows him to make and produce music that blends into a vibrant tapestry.
