Spotify and One World: Together at Home

Last week, Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO) announced One World: Together At Home – a live, aid-style event designed to celebrate healthcare workers around the globe and to support the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the WHO. Spotify is using its global, wide-reaching platform to support the cause and help build further awareness for this unprecedented fundraising event.

Spotify is supporting these efforts by giving listeners a personal fan experience that allows them to enjoy the show before and after the telecast. The Spotify listener experience includes:

  • The pre-show One World: Together At Home playlist that includes songs from performing artists, with real-time updates during the April 18th broadcast so fans can listen to all of the songs from the global telecast. South African and African artists featured on the playlist and performing during the concert include Black Coffee, Sho Madjozi, Cassper Nyovest and Nigeria’s Burna Boy.
  • Tune-in emails and in-app notifications to Spotify’s global fan database consisting of the biggest fans of participating artists including Lady Gaga, Chris Martin, Kacey Musgraves, J Balvin and more.

Curated by Lady Gaga, Chris Martin, and John Legend, and hosted by late-night TV talent Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert, the two-hour program will air live across TV networks and digital platforms globally on Saturday, April 18 at 8:00 – 10:00 PM ET, 7:00 PM CT, 8:00 PM PT with a digital pre-show beginning at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM GMT. (DSTV E! Entertainment, Channel 124, will also run the program on Sunday, April 19th).
