Lesego Moiloa Blaklez on co-parenting with Dineo Ranaka

Hip-hop artist Blaklez, whose real name is Lesego Moiloa, is establishing himself as one of South Africa’s most important hip-hop artists.

Blaklez, who has three albums under his belt, caught up with Cape Talk’s Sara-Jayne King, to talk music, life and love and fatherhood.

The rapper has a 5-year-old daughter named Kopano Ranaka with radio presenter Dineo Ranaka. Despite their public break-up which happened four years ago, the pair decided to put their differences aside for the sake of their daughter.

Speaking to Sara-Jayne King about co-parenting with Dineo, Blaklez said: “I think she’s one of the misunderstood people, but I think people are starting to see her character. She’s one human being who cares so much about human beings,” – he defended Dineo.
