DStv Mzansi Magic Viewers' Choice Awards Bonang Matheba

The second Annual DStv Mzansi Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards were held at the Sandton Convention Center last night. The event was hosted by media personality Bonang Matheba who introduced some of popular SA’s stars to present the 13 awards.

Kwesta, Sjava, Bucie, Sun-El Musician, Sho Madjozi, Khaya Mthethwa, Dumi Mkokstad, Ntokozo Mbambo,  Mafikizolo, Mlindo The Vocalist, and DJ Maphorisa featuring Moonchild and Zulu Mkhathini, all entertained the crowed with their hottest performances.

Dr Rebecca Malope, was honoured with the 1Life Legend Award by another music icon, Lindelani Mkhize. In an emotional acceptance speech, she gave glory to God, thanked her family and fans, and paid tribute to those who came before her as well as her peers.

Khaya Mthethwa And Former Miss SA Ntando Mthethwa

Former Miss South Africa Ntando Mthethwa says it’s a blessing to be married to a pastor. She and former “Idols SA” winner Khaya Mthethwa got married last year after dating for three months.

The couple had their colourful traditional wedding in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga. Some famous faces present at the wedding included Akhumzi Jezile, music mogul Lindelani Mkhize, advocate Nkateko Maluleke and his wife Ntsakisi as well as several beauty queens.

Ntandoyenkosi told Isolezwe a lot has changed since she got hitched but she is grateful.

“Everything happened quickly and we made a decision to get married. I’m a pastor’s wife now and the congregations welcomed me with open arms,” – Ntando said.

Ntando told the paper she is from a religious household and being married to a pastor has only enriched her life.

“I knew Ntando was the one” – Khaya Mthethwa

Singer-songwriter, musician, composer, arranger, and the multi-instrumentalist, Khaya Mthethwa, says he just knew he would not have to look any further the moment he met former Miss South Africa Ntandoyenkosi Kunene.

Khaya Mthethwa and his wife Ntandoyenkosi only dated for three months before tying the knot.

Speaking on Afternoon Express, Khaya revealed that tying the knot so early was not something he had planned but something his heart told him to do.

“To be honest, I didn’t plan on getting married last year. It was not something that was part of ‘the plan’ for my life but it was just something the I felt in my heart. When I met Ntando, I just knew. I was like, ‘this is it for me and I ain’t trying to waste the rest of my life without her” he said.

Speaking about his wife, the Pastor’s kid said, “She’s an incredible human being. She’s a strong character and comes from a phenomenal family. Everything about her culminates into this beautiful person that I want to spend the rest of my life with.”
