Local entertainer Skolopad has opened up about becoming the second wife. This comes after her Swati businessman boyfriend asked her to be his second wife.

Skolopad and her boyfriend have only been dating for six months. While most people tend to stay away from polygamy, Skolopad welcomes it and has been very vocal about the fact that she never wanted to be a proper wife.

“Like I said, he saw me as Nonhlanhla not as Skolopad. In fact, he was surprised when he eventually found out about Skolopad but he said he loved my personality and was not willing to let me go. I really haven’t said much about our love because I was afraid I would ruin it if I announced it.

Skolopad returns to work after she was in hospital for overdose

Socialite and entertainer Skolopad (real name Nonhlanhla Qwabe) has returned to work after a meltdown that led to a drug overdose last month.

Skolopad, who is a professional nurse, told TshisaLIVE that she is indeed returned to work for the first time but she’s working at different department now.

“I am working in a new department now. My psychologist diagnosed me with severe depression and this new environment is really helping. I have no colleagues. I am happy with how everything has turned out so far. I am still under the same boss but it is okay because at least I am back at work,” she said.

The star was rushed to hospital following a heated argument with a colleague at work, which the star claimed it led her to take an overdose of anti-anxiety pills.

The 34-year-old singer/dancer told the publication that she sent daughter to go live live with her mom shortly after the overdose and said her family did not know the full details of her meltdown.

Popular South African musician Dr Malinga has offered local entertainer Skolopad whose real name is Nonhlanhla Qwabe, some help.

While Dr Malinga hasn’t signed Skolopad just yet, he asked her to come on stage to perform with him over the weekend.

Skolopad revealed to TshisaLIVE that she is looking for a recording deal and she hasn’t been offered one yet.

“No. I’m not signed yet but Dr Malinga has been putting me on. When I talked to Malinga he suggested that I come do a weekend of performances with him, you know like a protégé would shadow a mentor. I thought it was a great idea since I am off work for now so I drove to Joburg and met up with him and the Lingas crew for a weekend of fun.”

Qwabe, who has always hoped to work with Dr Malinga, said she will do whatever is necessary to make her career aspirations a reality.
