Actress Pebetse Matlaila says she fears for her child’s life in South Africa, we need to protect them. This comes after a man was accused of raping a seven-year-old girl in the bathroom of a Dros restaurant in Pretoria.

According to Divorce Laws, everyday women including children are murdered, physically and sexually assaulted and threatened.

Pebetse Matlaila is a South African actress, radio personality, producer and voice over artist best known for her role as Mokgadi Matloga on SABC1 drama series Skeem Saam.

Speaking to TshisaLIVE, the Skeem Saam actress said she’s evening thinking of home schooling her daughter to protect her. She also said she was tired of always looking over her shoulder fearing the worst and wanted to fight back.

“The one thing that keeps me up at night is the safety of children, especially the girl child. I don’t even know what to do. We live in fear because our children’s lives are ruined before they even start. I am even scared to send my child to school. I’m contemplating home schooling her. You don’t even know if they are safe when they are not in your sight.
