Vth Season’s newest signee, Eastern Cape born, Nelson Mandela University (NMU) accounting student, Ami Faku (pronounced ahh-me), launched her debut single, Ndikhethe Wena, this past Friday on a high note.

Known to have blown away all four judges on The Voice SA last year, Ami Faku has lived up to expectations and is currently blowing away listeners on radio stations across the country with her debut offering.

Since it’s debut on Friday, Ami Faku’s Ndikhethe Wena has been playlisted by 18 radio stations including the likes of Metro FM, Capricorn FM, Power FM, Tru FM, North West FM, UJ FM and Thobela FM just to name a few.

Ndikhethe Wena is currently charting on the North West FM Top 40 Chart and the cover artwork is featured on the landing page of JOOX SA.

“The song is about being completely in love and not being bothered by the negativity that relationships are associated with. Sometimes as people we need to realise how precious relationships are. This person chose you out of all the people in the world, that’s special,” explains Ami Faku.

Skeem Saam’s Skhumbuzo Mbatha joins Capricorn FM

Skhumbuzo Mbatha joins Capricorn FM

Actor and radio personality Skhumbuzo Mbatha, known for his popular character Meneer Manaka on SABC1 drama Skeem Saam, has left Thobela FM to return to Capricorn FM.

According to TshisaLIVE, Skhumbuzo started his radio career at Capricorn when the station was still known as Radio 1512, but later left to join Thobela FM.

The star has been juggling acting with his radio show on Thobela FM for several years, but will leave the station later this month to rejoin Capricorn FM from the 1st of March 2018.

Skhumbuzo Mbatha told Daily Sun that he left the station to pursue other ventures and when asked about his departure on social media, told fans “what matters now is that I am back and happy!”
