According to reports by Sunday World, Tamara Dey filed papers at the Randburg Magistrate Court claiming that the current amount, R10 000 per month, is not enough for their two-year-old daughter, Lalabella Dey.

The publication further claims that the singer claims the R20 000 per month would be the amount that would be sufficient to cater to the child’s monthly expenses. However, Mhinga, who is based in France, has accused the singer of wanting the extra money for herself in an affidavit where he responds to her papers.

He said Tamara Dey would send him a monthly list of the child’s expenses which totalled at least R10 000 and he would pay without any qualms.

“The applicant and I would ordinarily share the total costs based on the minor child’s monthly needs and deliver them to the house and use that time to visit the minor child,” he said.

Ningi and Tamara welcomed their first child together in 2017.
