The shows will be followed by the DFF Recognition Awards Show on Saturday, September 22nd which honour and recognise the top designers and models taking part in this year’s DFF 2018. The DFF 2018 will also be taking place alongside the Durban Business Fair which is celebrating its 20 year anniversary.

Presented by the eThekwini Municipality as part of its successful Fashion Development Programme, the DFF is now in its seventh year of wowing designers, the media, fashion buyers and the public. It brings out the very best in local fashion with top class shows that allow local creative’s to strut their stuff alongside the best in the world.

DFF NF18 MEN

To discover hidden talents that can put Durban on the fashion map as well as ensure that, when it comes to design, Durban is a top contender, the eThekwini Municipality has invested substantial sums in internships, industry related training programmes, networking sessions and various lifestyle and modelling programmes and boot camps. The current “crop” of new faces are evidence of just how effective this has been.

These models, which were scouted throughout the greater eThekwini Municipality, have been provided with invaluable training over two months – from runway skills, posing and posture presentation and photographic editorial techniques to posture and poise, all things “model etiquette”. This will give them the tools to reach for their dreams and take full advantage of the opportunity to participate in a high profile fashion show such as the Durban Fashion Fair.

To win double tickets to the opening show on Wednesday, September 19th enter our DFF New Faces Model Competition on the facebook page. “Like” your favourite model to stand in line to win double tickets for the opening night show! One lucky winner from each of our female and male models category will be randomly selected. T’s & C’s apply.
