On Tuesday, Babes Wodumo randomly released a video of Tipcee and DJ Cndo on her Instagram page. Afrotainment songbird Thobeka ‘Tipcee’ Ndaba has come out to set the record straight after she was seemingly accused by Babes Wodumo of gossiping about her relationship with Mampintsha.
Tipcee denied that the conversation was about Babes, saying she was surprised by the ‘gossiping’ accusations.
Tipcee said “when your rivalries realise u r (sic) threatening their space; when suddenly newspaper columns right positive stories about u; when TV & radio stations invite u to their shows; your rivalries are not happy! When old videos taken ages ago suddenly resurface and occupy their social media space… It’s their way of getting back at you! It’s their way of protecting what they consider “theirs”! When suddenly u r ( sic) breathing behind their necks & they feel u getting closer & closer; they don’t like it…. Instead they try and shut the space for u! Not because u are their enemy… But because they don’t like sharing the space!!!”

According to Zalebs, the Afrotainment artist insinuates that Babes Wodumo may be threatened by her (Tipcee) rise to stardom.
“It’s the first ‘this and that’ syndrome… When u post about the fruits of your achievements (car) and suddenly they feel the edge to show their fans that they have achieved better than you… Bathi uJealous but kodwa wena uzenzela into yakho!!! We have compromising videos abo! But we won’t stoop to their level!!! Grow up black child…
Tipcee went on to apologize to her fans for what has occurred and promises to do better this year.

“They think that I don’t like Babes. Everyone thinks that she is my competition or that I don’t like her. She is my girl, people misunderstand us. They compare us and it’s frustrating because I am not in any competition. Even Zodwa Wabantu is my girl. We are family and I have no problems with either of them.”
